Our Teak furniture maintenance kit comes in three parts; cleaner, oil and brightener.
When choosing to treat your teak furniture, it is essential that it is firstly cleaned using a teak cleaner to remove any dirt. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety precautions and when your furniture is completely dry, teak oil and/or teak brightener can be applied and re-applied. Using our Teak cleaner is the first step to treating your furniture.
To maintain the more original golden appearance of your furniture, teak oil can be applied. This will stain the wood and protect the teak. A teak brightener can then be used to maintain the golden appearance over time. Please follow the manufactures instructions and safety precautions. The cleaner, oil and brightener are traditionally best applied using a cloth rather than a brush.
The process will help reduce the amount of end grain cracking and possible warping that can occur over a long period of time. However, if treatment is started, it needs to be continued regularly to prevent uneven colouring.
